	2009 KART RULES YARD KART This class is designed for "FUN" style Karts that are typically sold at Retail or Hardware stores. Kart should remain showroom stock. 1) No racing style Frames. 2) Must have 4 point roll cage made from at least 1 inch mild steel tubing. Kart cannot be excessively light. 3) Must have safety harness provided by manufacture, or 4 point racing upgrade. 4) Must have working brake. 5) Any gasoline powered 4-cycle engine, not exceeding 6.5 horsepower. Must be stock production. No performance parts. Governor may not be removed, and must be in working order. Governor may not be over ridden. Throttle linkage cannot be hooked to the governor bar. Must have stock style exhaust. Carburetor must be stock for model of engine. ENGINE MAY BE CLAIMED FOR $200.00. Engine Inspection:$50.00 to remove side cover. 6) CLUTCH: Must be shoe style clutch with no larger than a 12 tooth sprocket. $35.00 claimer on clutch. may run stock converter if production equipped. 7) Must have one-piece rear axel sprocket. No two-piece. No racing style rear axel. 8) No Kart racing tires, wheeels, or hubs. 9) Must have kill switch in reach of driver. Zip tie on plug wire is highly recommeded. OUTLAW KART 1) Racing style frames allowed. Must have 4 point style roll cage made of at least 1 mild steel tubing. No suspension of any type allowed. Must be equipped with safety harness. 2) Wheel base no larger than 42 inches. 3) Weight with driver 290 lbs. 4) Engine: Any gasoline powered 4 cycle engine not exceeding 6.5 horsepower. Must be stock production. No performance parts.(Briggs Intek engine may run stock steel animal camshaft). After market air filter and any exhaust header allowed. No porting or polishing. Carburetor must be stock for model of engine. Jet may be enlarged. Engine may have governor removed or over ridden. Engine may be claimed for $200.00. Claim does not include motor mount, clutch, air filter, or header. Engine Inspection: $75.00. Pull side cover and cylinder head. 5) CLUTCH: Must be shoe style clutch. Clutch may be claimed for $75.00. 6) Any tire mounted on a standard kart racing wheel. No cut tires. 7) Must have working brake. 8) Must have kill switch in reach of the driver. Zip tie on spark plug wire is highly recommended. 9) No Fuel additives. PRO STOCK KART (AGES 15 And UP) 1) Racing style frames allowed. No suspension. 2) Weight: Kart and driver 350 lbs 3) Engine: Same as OUTLAW 4) Clutch: Same as OUTLAW 5) Tires: Same as OUTLAW 6) No Fuel Additives JUNIOR (A) UNCAGED (AGES 8-11) 1)Gas or Alcohol (No Additives) 2) No Hoops or suspension 3) Engine: Briggs 5HP 4 cycle (Blue Printing Allowed) 4) Weight: Kart and driver 260 lbs JUNIOR (B) Uncaged (Ages 12-15) 1) Gas or Alcohol (No Additives) 2) No Hoops or suspension 3) Engine: Briggs 5HP 4 cycle (Blue Printing Allowed). 4) Weight: Kart and driver 285 lbs. Junior Animal 1) Gas or Alcohol (No Additives) 2) Engine: Stock Briggs Animal 3) Weight: Kart and driver 300lbs 4) No suspension ADULT ANIMAL (Ages 15 and Up) 1) Gas or Alcohol (No Additives) 2) Stock Briggs Animal 3) Weight: Kart and driver 350 lbs 4) No suspension Youth Super Briggs (Ages 12-15) 1) Gas or Alcohol ( No Additives) 2) Engine: Stock appearing Briggs 5 HP motor. Must have stock side cover, and cylinder head. Must have stock appearing Briggs carburetor and tank. (No Tllotson) 3) Weight: 300 lbs 4) No suspension Adult Super Briggs (Ages 16 and UP) 1) Gas or Alcohol (No Additives) 2) Engine: Stock appearing Briggs 5 HP engine. Must have stock side cover. Must have stock appearing Briggs carburetor and tank.
