Centerville Super Speedway P.O. Box 101 Centerville, AR 72829 (479) 747-3055 ![]() The flagman is the most visible person while the races are running. The basic job of the flagman is to operate the races as safely as possible and watch for rule infractions. The flags are how the flagman communicates to the racers during the race. Green Flag - Starts the race. Yellow Flag - Proceed with caution. Red Flag - Stop the race immediately. White Flag - Denotes one lap remaining. Checkered Flag - Race is over. Move Over Flag - Denotes leaders are about to pass. Maintain your line and allow them to go by. Black Flag - Disqualified for a rules infraction. Side by Side Flags - Denotes only two laps remaining. Crossed Flags - Denotes the race is half done. The flagman may also point a rolled up black flag at a car, that is a warning for a minor infraction or cautioning the driver for being too aggressive and non-sportsmanlike in their racing conduct. A rolled up green flag in one hand and a rolled up green flag in the other waved up and down tells the racer to line up side by side for the start of the race. A red and yellow flag and/or light on the tree denotes that the racers are to realign in their original order for a complete restart. The flagman is in constant radio contact with the pit boss and the lap counters in the tower. One item that does occur on a frequent basis and causes some confusion to newer spectators is this rule: If an incident occurs that requires a yellow or red flag, THE CAR THAT CAUSED THE CAUTION AND THOSE WHO MAKE CONTACT, HOWEVER SLIGHT IT MAY BE must move to the back of the line up. Track rules during race 1. We do not race back to the yellow ever! 2. The red flag means stop not slow down stop. 3.If you are involved (make contact) with any car in a wreck that brings out a caution you and all involved will go to the back the one causing the caution will go furtherest to the rear the rest involved will be lined up according to how they were scored on the last completed lap,(completed by all cars) 4. The only car that will get his spot back is the lead car and then only if the caution was deemed someone elses fault or if we cannot figure out who was at fault. 5. If you go 2 laps down or cause 2 cautions or you are causing a dangerous suitation on the track that makes you a obstacle to the other drivers you will be black flaged you cannot stay out on the track and create a harzard to the other drivers, if you start a race witha broke car you will be dqed with no money 6. if you stop on the track or have anybody check your car out or work on it without a official calling you or them for help you will be disqualified with no money or points for that race, including yourself getting out of your car. 7. if you or anyone other than a track official works on your car after you pull onto the track or at the entrance to the track you will be disqualified with no money and or points for that race.unless a track official ok's it 8. if any crew member walks to the edge or top of track or anywhere on the track while we are under caution that car will be disqualified with no money or points for the night. 9.if you stop your car at the flag mans stand or any crew member goes to the flag mans stand anytime to agrue or discuse anything with the flag man you will be barred for not less than 2 weeks could be a lot more. this also includes jumping a official in the pitts after the races are over ( put you questions in the concerns box they will be addressed asap) 10.any obsene jesters to crowd, official you will be disqualified for night and possilble barred for a time to be determined by official . 11.if you threaten a official anywhere you will be barred. 12. If you stop on the track to bring out a caution just so you can catch up with the pack or cause you are mad you will be disqualified with no money or points for that race 13.if your car catches on fire you cannot continue to race in that race. 14.a information box was installed at the concession stand if you have any concerns write them down and place them there and we will be happy to talk to anyone that wants to talk rationally after we have read your concerns and discussed the situation with all the officials we will only read and respond if you put your name and ph.# on it we will remove concern sheets from box as soon as the races are over and we will respond that night if at all possible. do not go up to any official during or after the races put your thoughts down in the box. if there is a problem with the line up ypu think tell the line up man he will radio the tower do not go to the tower.
