2007 Pure Stock Building Rules

1. Any passenger car or truck, manufactured from 1955 to present with a stock wheelbase of a minimum of 101" are permitted for the class. Trucks or truck/type cars are also permitted if they meet the wheelbase requirements (stock oem wheelbase).

2. Stock bodies roof and down post and sail panels. Can use aftermarket nose and tailpieces but must look factory. Aftermarket doors allowed but must be stock appearing . Complete Stock front and rear factory firewall in stock location. Drivers must be sealed off from engine and trunk compartments. Stock production floor pan must extend from original factory firewall through to the original rear factory firewall. Fenders may be trimmed for tire clearance. Trunk floor can be removed. No spoiler. Back of car may not be open.INTERIOR OF CAR MAY NOT BE ENCLOSED.

3. Chassis or unibody will remain factory stock. Frame rails must run in stock location and in unaltered fashion. Unibody cars may have sub frame connectors. All chassis and steering parts must be OEM or considered to be factory replacements. Steering must remain in the factory location and a quickener is allowed. Only one shock per wheel, mounted in the factory location. Factory replacement bushings in leaf springs and trailing arms only, no racing replacements. Or sliders or like.

4. Brakes must remain factory OEM. May use aftermarket clutch and throttle and brake pedals. No adjustable brakes allowed. One working brake per wheel. disc brakes are allowed.

5. Maximum 8" wheels only. NO BEADLOCKS! 1" lugnuts MANDATORY!

6. Asphalt pull offs, IMCA American Racer or G60 kk704 or imca stamped hoosier mod tire.Street tires no larger than 275/60/15. Track reserves the right to claim any street tire for $30.00. Tires must durometer 45 or harder.

7. The front and rear suspension must remain STOCK for make and model of car. No after market racing shocks or springs ( you can cut off coil springs and leaf springs & you may run lowering block to get height right but you must run same number and like leaf springs on bopth sides)and must be in stock location. No adjustable shackles or after market racing parts attached to or in rear end except mini spool. If 4 link all control arm and trailing arm & mounts must be oem in stock location and not altered in any way. No coil over shocks. Stock type shocks no racing type shocks. Any stock oem rear end is allowed for that car or truck but suspension mounts must be exact same as factory in factory location height and width(location) must remain on stock suspension for the car that it is under. Rearend may be locked or welded. Body blocks on rear axles are allowed. spacers on front springs allowed, adjustable cups allowed fromt only May run to 2" lowering blocks. (No sliders of any kind) Stock production rear ends may be interchanged among manufacturers. Rear ends may be locked and mini spools are OK. No Gold Tracs or traction control devices.

8. Stock automatic or standard transmissions only. Powerglides are OK. Standards have a stock single discdampened clutch. Stock flywheels with minimum 26lb weight. No mini-clutches or aluminum on flywheels. Stock full size unaltered torque converters (with drain plug) in automatics. All transmissions much have all working gears. Standards much have a blow-proff off bell housing.Automatics must be able to come to a complete stop with transmission in a forward gear,with drivers foot on brake, without engine stalling.

9. Factory unaltered OEM distributors, coil, pick ups (may lock down advance cannot remove).

10. Holley 4412 500 cfm 2 barrels only . Carburetor must pass technical inspection on top and bottom. 1 3/8" at the top and 1 11/16" at the bottom.

11. Fuel must be pump gas or racing gas! No additives.

12. No weight transfer devices of any kind.

13. Must weigh 3400 lb after race with driver.

14. Manual fuel pumps only, no electric or belt driven pumps.

15. Headers ok.

16.Engines: Flattop or dish pistons only. No stroking or destroking. No porting and polishing anywhere Stock production harmonic balancer, no lightened crankshafts, no aftermarket or performance fluid damper must be factory weight and size. No gear drives. Timing must be chain driven. Any hydraulic cam not to exceed 450 lift. $100.00 claim on cam shaft. Claimed party has option of swap for cam and lifters. Track reserves the right to claim camshaft for $100.00. no 1/6 rockers NO hydraulic rollers!  Stock lifter and lifter bore, no vortex heads.No cubic inch limit.

17.Cylinder Heads:No Bowties, OEM High performance, Double Hump, Vortex, Angle Plug, Lightning, or After Market heads. no Screw in or pinned studs. Valve size 1.94 max Single valve springs with stock rocker arms only. No roller tips. No guide plates. No performance type or aftermarket center head.
18. Motor location: #1 spark plug must not be past either upper ball joint.

19. No grand national rear ends or gold tracks or traction control of any kind.

20. No brake adjusters or cutoff valves

21. 3400 lb after race
22. $20.00 claimer on each shock
